The seafront will tell the story of a strong, intertwined industrial community of which it is a part. The idea that we can be part of the creation of our environment as the ones that inhabit it and know it most is a truly appealing idea. The project is sensible to the needs of the area whilst it also evokes the creativity and playfulness inside us. It also provides more flexible and general green space with lawns, trees and lighting for walking, cycling and playing. The new walkway provides improved access to the beach.Unlike many other projects, this one has no defined borders as the designers decide to reserve an area at the end of the seafront promenade for the future needs. The two-fold function of the modules also includes the protection for the soil from erosion as well as a seating place in the sunset beach area. In the winter the steelworks will provide for skiing, snowboarding and sledging for varying abilities whilst also being a place to rest whilst enjoying the seaview. Perhaps inspiring new tricks based on old traditions. Old construction elements form new spaces: rails, bowls and bumps. All of the lighting can be adjusted to fit whatever mood or feeling the client desires on a particular night. The landscape is then highlighted with contemporary landscape LED lighting systems. Once the sun sets, 250 glimmering fiber-optic star-lights make their appearance and create a lighting spectacle. Inside the pool, the koi fish are viewable through two transparent acrylic panels. The two koi ponds were crafted with numerous platforms, devised to flaunt water irises, lily pads, and other aquatic plants, for those viewing the ponds from outside of the pool. 350 feet of fiber optic rope lighting was also installed to illuminate the entire boundary of the pool. The pool tiles were blended to transition through a 4 way gradient pattern. Materials and Techniques Many unique materials and special techniques were used to complete this project. Incorporated into the patio spaces is a fully furnished outdoor kitchen and bar with an outdoor television. Violin Swimming Pool image courtesy of The natural stone patio comprise of dolomitic limestone connects the house to the pool whilst providing an area for entertaining family and guests. The violin pool itself, while undoubtedly the focal point of this magnificent property, is complimented by the surrounding planting design that was implemented by Cipriano’s landscape architecture crew. The owner’s affection for koi fish inspired the design team to incorporate two koi ponds seamlessly into the violin theme. The client, upon realizing his dream could be a reality, soon wanted more than just a violin shaped pool. Motivation and Brief The homeowner, an amateur violin player and collector, came up with the idea of building a pool resembling an exact replica in scale of a 1700s era Stradivarius violin with all of its detail and intricacies. MFO Park’s most visible characteristic is the incorporation of something unmistakably urban – verticality.īe prepared to be wowed by this Swimming Pool Design from Cipriano Custom Swimming Pools & Landscaping, what they did for their client is amazing! This project includes a custom built swimming pool, two fish-filled koi-ponds, a 12-person perimeter overflow spa and river flow jet system. The surrounding landscape uses boxwood hedge in a “stem design”, rhythmic planted flowers, a path for leisurely walking and specimen trees as focal points and accents for the overall landscape. The park functions as an exemplary model of modern understanding of the complexity of society, reflected in the diversity of an urban form. Here, modern instruments of industry complement and support the design of a quality public space. In general, the land is treated in a plan-oriented manner, creating zones and using trees, grass, and flowers in contrast to urban morphology. What makes it so unique? This is a unique urban park precedent because it acknowledges the history of a territory and provokes continuity and acceptance in the human mind. Flowers add splashes of color in the spring and summer, and as autumn arrives the foliage of some of the vines transforms into a warm chord of colors. Thus, the created vine wall, which defines the steel frame, changes with the seasons and over time. Each plant climbs up a separate cable to show showcase its individual character. One can enjoy the 104 perennial woody vines and creepers, including wisteria, clematis, climbing rose, jasmine, honeysuckle, hops, knotweed, and silver lace vine.
